Man cannot maintain his erection during oral sex
Question: The last time I had oral sex I lost my erection and now it happens frequently. Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?
Response from Dr. Trina Read
This can be a very common experience. As fast as the blood ingests your penis to make it erect, the blood can drain just as quickly and leave it flaccid. In fact, many men also lose their erections during sexual intercourse.
You see that your brain, not your penis, is actually your main sexual organ; so when you are stressed or worried, your arousal level will decrease. There are several reasons why this happens.
For example, it can be difficult to maintain an erection if you are thinking, “Is it big enough?”, “What if I ejaculate too fast?” or even worse, “What if I can’t ejaculate?”
And if you lose an erection once, like the one you have during oral sex, you start to worry that it will happen again. Creating an unpleasant flabby cycle.
Although drug companies would love for you to take a pill to solve your problems, this is generally not necessary.
When you are receiving oral sex, try to focus on the wonderful feelings and sensations. When you focus on pleasure, you will not lose that erection.
