Jacksonville Beach Parties on New Year’s Eve

Any excuse for a party, Jax Beach is revving up for the big event on Saturday night. Neighbors, villagers and “feriners” in the city for the alligator bowlwill flock to the Jacksonville Beaches hotels, restaurants and nightclubs, to have fun until the wee hours of the morning, in some cases until 4 am. With temperatures forecast to be in the mid 70’s, we’ll love it! Here is a summary of some of the actions that happen New Years Eve in Jax Beach Florida.

This New Year’s Eve marks the end of an era for many locals in the beach area.first street grill it will close its doors for the last time early on New Year’s Day. Scheduled for demolition early next year to make room for a new 7-story condominium, First Street Grill promises to break ground. They are still taking reservations for their last party. $175.00 will get you 2 large five course dinners, a bottle of champagne and 2 glasses of champagne at midnight to ring in the New Year. Entertainment will be provided by “The Company” offering a repertoire of oldies from the 1960’s and 1970’s. The days of eating and dancing at the First Street Grill will be sorely missed and

remembered by all of us… that all known…

Right in the center of the party is Magellan’s Waterfront Restaurant, specializing in fresh local seafood and angus steaks. Casual dining indoors overlooking the ocean, or on the boardwalk patio overlooking the Jax Beach Pier, Magellan’s is sure to be an end-of-year foodie extravaganza. After dinner, visit DJs KG and Jade upstairs at the atlantic nightclub, then walk around the courtyard until JB’s premiere ocean club. The OC will have party favors, a champagne toast and 4 DJs, inside and outside on the boardwalk, in 4 different rooms. There’s a $20 entry fee, but they’ll be partying until 4am!

For a change of pace, walk across the street to the ritz, where there is never a cover charge. Dance to the music until 4 am. The “Jax Beach Triangle” – Atlantic, Ocean Club and the Ritz – party until 4 on the Strip!

Also open until 4, one block away eddie bahamas is having a beach party! He partakes in Eddie’s excellent Caribbean cooking and then dances himself to drop at 4am! No cover charge at Eddie’s!

Jax Beach’s Most Beloved Band mofroa frequent artist in our “Spring of the Blues” festival, will appear down the street on FreeBird Live! (Congratulations on the hall of fame thing.) Mofro, with Eric Lindell will perform on both Friday and Saturday. Dial 246.2473 for details.

Do yourself a favor and spend the night at the beach. Many of the hotels in Jax Beach still have rooms available for the weekend. Tea holiday inn at 15th Ave. and 1st St. North has rooms starting at $129. Tea Comfort Inn right next door had 50 rooms on Thursday, and just lowered their rates to $99. quality suites at Beach Blvd. and 1st Street it is the closest to where the action is, and its rooms start at $219, not bad if you consider that all its rooms are “Suites”. Whatever you do, take care! JBPD are very serious people.
