How To Use Glenn Doman Flash Cards On Your Baby

Glenn Doman is the founding father on child brain development. He established the Institutes for the Achievement of Human Potential (IAHP) in 1955.

IAHP is a nonprofit organization that provides educational programs and books on developing and accelerating mental and physical growth for normal and brain-damaged children.

Originally, IAHP was created to create the potential of brain-damaged children through a comprehensive mental and physical conditioning course. Beginning in the 1960s, the institute began providing accelerated learning training for normal children.

Training methods derived from the many techniques used to help brain-damaged children.

Glenn Doman, at the same time, was the author of a number of important books:

1. How to Teach Your Baby to Read (1964)

2. How to Teach Your Baby Math (1979)

3. How To Teach Your Baby To Be Physically Excellent (1988)

Then Doman’s daughter Janet and son Douglas followed up with Glenn to write:

1. How smart is your baby?

2. Develop and nurture your newborn’s full potential?

At the same time, Douglas himself wrote “How to Teach Your Baby to Swim: From Birth to Six Years?”.

The principles of the HPAI methods are:

1. There is genius in every child.

He believes that when the child is born, he or she has the potential to be more intelligent than Leonardo da Vinci.

2 The answer to release the child’s potential is through stimulation.

The growth and development of brains are based on a single dynamic process, and it is not through predestined and immutable events. The process can be interrupted by severe brain injury or slowed by moderate brain injury. But the most important thing is that it can accelerate growth and development.

3. Teaching must begin at birth.

The brain is believed to grow rapidly during a child’s early years.

4. Learning progress is faster the younger the child.

The older the child, the rate of information absorption decreases.

5. Children think that learning is playing.

6. The best teacher of the child is his parents.

7. Learning must be pleasant for the child.

8. There should be no testing during learning and teaching.

How do you teach your baby?

Glenn Doman’s program uses flash cards to teach children. To teach your child, make sure that the topics covered in the flashcards are:

1) Black, white and red baby flash cards (visual stimulation cards)

2) Math Dot Cards (to develop the child’s analytical mind)

3) Word Flash Cards (Learn to Read)

4) Picture/vocabulary flash cards (biology, music, art, history, human physiology, math, foreign languages)

You can start teaching your child at the age of 3 months. To make learning fun, you can use flash cards every day as part of your child’s playtime. If your child isn’t in the mood to learn the flashcards, stop right away and continue later.
