Are you aware?

Are you aware? Of the things you think, say and do? Are you aware of the emotions you feel, such as when you are angry, sad, or happy?

Being mindful basically means being aware, aware of every movement and thought that you have. Aware of what you are going to do next, what you want to do in your life. Be aware of yourself and what your Heart wants to do. I feel like a lot of people aren’t self-aware, they’re not aware that they are these amazing beings called humans who can do whatever they set their minds to.

Many walk around like mindless zombies, too busy trying to catch the next bus to stop and take in the beauty of the world we are in.

The stereotypical life is going to school, getting a job, having a family, and then getting old. But where is the time for you to do the things you want to do, to do the things you love, the things your Heart wants you to do? Are you even aware of what you are doing now?

There are even times when we are not aware of what we feel and say, such as when we are not happy with something. Sometimes it can be the smallest of things that can annoy us, like me, when someone takes my stuff without asking. I can get pretty upset over a petty thing, like missing a pen, and my entire mood for the day would be ruined by something ridiculous. But am I conscious at that moment? No, definitely not.

Then I get angry, say some hurtful things, all because I didn’t make an effort to be aware of what I’m saying. And what is the effect, you ask? Well, I may accidentally say some very hurtful things. But I wasn’t conscious, so it doesn’t matter, right? WRONG! I still end up hurting people with those words, consciously or not!

Conscious or unconscious, conscious or not, we are responsible for our own thoughts, words and actions. People would remember the words you say when you’re happy or sad, the things you do when you’re angry or happy. Even the thoughts that you think affect you and the people around you, you may not realize how they affect you at the moment.

Whatever you think, say, or do will eventually come back to you, as I’ve said countless times in this article so far, whether you know it or not. When you think, say or do something, you are sending energy and eventually this energy will come back to you.

Anyway, now that you briefly know the importance of being mindful, you know that being self-aware is not something to be taken lightly. Being aware is vitally important. It allows you to be aware of what you do and helps you create the path you want in life.

In this world of infinite possibilities, being aware helps you see that there is more than one way to Rome, that you are capable of achieving what your Heart wants. Being aware shows you that you have a choice. It separates those who are truly successful from the rest of the world, because they know that there is something bigger than this world. And they are taking the steps there slowly, consciously.

So, are you aware of what you say, what you think and what you do?
