Milk really is a great drink and it’s very versatile, I know a lot of people don’t like milk but you can always make it into custard, rice pudding or semolina etc – to get your daily intake.

Our youngest daughter was always against drinking a glass of milk, and still is, but she actually consumes more milk than the rest of the family.

She absolutely adores cereal, eats up to four bowls a day, and of course this is with milk, summer or winter. She also loves chocolate shakes and fruit shakes with a bit of ice cream, but the shakes are often left to me to make since she doesn’t like to clean up the blender afterwards: teens!

It’s a shame that schools don’t provide the daily drink of milk that as a youngster was such a big part of the school day. I believe that if this were still the case in primary schools, more children would be happy to drink milk and less likely to opt for the available soft drinks.
