You’ll be surprised how much better you’ll feel opening that door in the morning and seeing your clothes neatly on the rack instead of picking them up off the floor.

5. Plan ahead. Make plans with your family and friends. Organize a day or night out. Having something to look forward to can instantly improve your mood. When you have a tough day at work, you might think about your plans and realize that at the end of a tough day you’ll have something fun to look forward to.

6. Do something nice for someone. You will be happy knowing that you have done a good deed. Help someone at work or make someone else feel good by praising them. Getting a thank you from someone can instantly make us feel worthwhile and put a smile on our face, not to mention the person we’ve helped.

7. Put a smile on your face and act happy. This may sound crazy, but it can actually make you happy. Seeing your family and colleges happy will encourage them to be happy, thus improving your home or work environment and making it better.
