A Sportcraft TX5.0 RC Treadmill Review
I love to walk, especially outdoors, but there are times in winter when it gets too cold. So, I recently purchased the Sportcraft TX 5.0 RC treadmill. Here’s my review and why I’m glad I bought it.
It’s great that I can now enjoy a good walk in the comfort of my own home and the features of the Sportcraft TX5 treadmill are really good. I talk about the best below.
Of all the features of the Sportcraft treadmill, the best is that it can easily go from its horizontal walking position to an upright position, so I can store it easily – I live in a small house in the city, so space is a problem for me. Mind you, the Sportcraft machine looks pretty slick, so leaving it set up and on display won’t embarrass a style-conscious person.
The display panel that comes with the Sportcraft TX5 is fantastic as it gives me a lot of information. It not only shows the miles and steps I’ve walked; it also shows calories, heart rate, time and speed. There is a fast mode button that also allows me to change the speed; It’s really easy, just use the “+” or “-” signs to slowly increase or decrease your speed in tenth-mile increments.
Although it is a cheap machine, I have found that I can also use it for running, although I have to admit that I do not use it much. When running, I find the remote control to be very useful as it allows me to easily change the speed without touching the display panel.
I’m a bit of a safety freak and one of the reasons I put off buying a treadmill was because I was afraid of falling – I had visions of my legs and arms being mangled. But, the Sportcraft TX5.0 RC has put those fears to rest. It comes with a safety cable that connects to you and a sensor on the panel, so if you fall or slip, and the cable isn’t connected to the sensor, it stops automatically.
What I liked, and my husband loved, was the machine’s low price of just under $250. My husband found it very easy to assemble the Sportcraft treadmill. The manual that came with it was easy to follow.
If you’re looking for a treadmill, I highly recommend the Sportcraft TX5.0 RC treadmill. However, my husband does not use it because he is a passionate runner; he’s not really suitable if you’re serious about running. But, for walkers like me, I think it works very well.
My Sportcraft treadmill review is a bit short; I just mentioned the things that I liked the most. The display console on the machine is perfect, the remote makes it easy to operate the treadmill, and I really like the lanyard. To date I have had trouble walking on this machine and am getting the exercise I need.
