Weight loss: try to eat only lunch and dinner

There is an endless variety of diet techniques out there. It has come to a point where anyone who wants to advertise or promote their eating strategy has to go to great lengths to get attention as there are so many varieties of weight loss plans. This often means pushing ideas that are far from conventional. While the need to continue testing a new approach to weight loss has resulted in some interesting and sometimes helpful diet strategies, more often than not these strategies are not inherently healthy and can cause problems.

But what about the basics? Simple strategies done right can give you positive weight loss results…

Eat two meals a day. Ask anyone struggling with weight loss if they’ve tried eating just two meals a day, with nothing in between. If he says yes, then ask how long he has been trying this style of eating.

Anyone who has eaten just two meals a day for a decent amount of time – at least a few weeks – will have had weight loss success. Overeating with just two meals a day is challenging. As long as you’re not eating junk foods all the time, you should be able to keep your intake within a reasonable range. Between lunch and dinner, or the time before and after those meals, your body undergoes a short fast. Every time you go several hours without eating, despite the impulses, you are giving your digestive system a break.

If you eat reasonable portions during your two meals, you won’t gain weight. And it is very likely that you will lose those kilos that you want to get rid of.

Try to eat only lunch and dinner. Most people will find that lunch and dinner are two daily meals that they can structure and manage. Just don’t eat first thing in the morning, despite being told countless times that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Start your day with a tea or coffee and wait a few hours until your lunch.

Keep it light. Eat slowly and drink a large glass of water with your meal. Follow with fruit – this will help keep you full without overeating.

Then eat at dinner. After work on weekdays or early evening on weekends. You won’t go to bed hungry this way, and you’ll only deal with mild hunger in the morning and occasionally in the afternoon.
