Trips to Vietnam and Cambodia

When to go

Vietnam and Cambodia span numerous climate zones, making the weather extremely difficult to predict. However, if you are looking to avoid the rainy seasons and the worst of the heat, when embarking on tours to Vietnam and Cambodia, you should consider between October and March.

Vietnam

Only in recent years has Vietnam opened its doors to the world after thousands of years of Chinese, Mongolian and Japanese rule: all of whom have left a lasting legacy in supreme temples and countless unique buildings. A country relatively unscathed by tourism, Vietnam is a country waiting to be explored. Whether you want to explore the ancient and traditional capital of Vietnam, Hanoi, captivated by old craft quarters, puppet theaters and pagodas along the lakeside, or the legendary imperial capital of Hue, enchanted with golden pavilions , terraced gardens and water lily ponds, Vietnam and Cambodia tours will allow you to witness it all. Majestic and enigmatic, yet poignant and commanding, Ha Long Bay is a natural beauty that words cannot do justice to. Consider thousands of limestone karsts and islands rising from the emerald waters and you have a picture of breathtaking beauty. In addition to these wonderful cities and landscapes, there is the aquascape of green fields and quiet villages of the Mekong Delta. Rich in rice fields and fish farms, this delta produces enough produce to feed a country with a significant surplus. The Vietnamese themselves are wonderfully energetic, always smiling and courteous and all proudly show off their beautiful country.

Cambodia

Just to the west of Vietnam is the equally exquisite Kingdom of Cambodia. The chaotic yet fascinating capital of Phnom Penh offers the radiant towers of the royal palace and set in a stunning riverside town, it truly is one of Asia’s hidden gems. A short flight away is Siem Reap, which offers the life and vibrancy of the Angkor temples. The city is on its way to once again become the epicenter of the new Cambodia. At its height in the 13th century, Siem Reap had almost a million inhabitants and was home to the monumental Khmer empire that ruled much of modern Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, leaving a lasting legacy of art and sculpture that truly makes Angkor one of the great wonders of the world. So whether it’s a quiet break, a bit of sightseeing, or just a hands-on history lesson, your travels after Vietnam and Cambodia offer something for everyone, of all ages.
