Tips for planning a wedding in Jamaica

Jamaica is a large island located in the Caribbean and is well known not only for its beauty, but also for the large number of hotels and venues to celebrate your wedding in Jamaica.

Depending on your taste, you have several wedding venue options to choose from. Whether you’re looking for a quiet, remote location to host your wedding or a luxurious 5-star luxury resort, you can find it all in Jamaica! There are so many amazing resorts and hotels to choose from that it is recommended that you spend a lot of time researching and researching all of your options. Be sure to ask as many questions as possible to find the best rates for your Jamaica wedding. One of the benefits of using a resort over a small hotel is that resorts double as accommodations for you and all of your guests and also double as a spectacular wedding venue. However, if you choose a smaller hotel, you will have fewer people around for a more romantic setting.

Jamaica has a multitude of all-inclusive resorts on the island. These resorts are the perfect place to host a destination wedding. There are many wedding chapels to say “I do” surrounded by your family and friends. For easy access, some of these wedding chapels are located on the resort premises.

If you wanted a particular church for your wedding, you would have to find out where it was located and work with the resort to help you organize it. So depending on the type of ceremony you want, you’ll need to make these arrangements beforehand. Many of the chapels located near the hotels have a beautiful area for a small gathering on the beach afterwards.

If you want a more elaborate and extravagant Jamaica wedding reception, there are plenty of other places available for fun in the sun that are sure to suit your tastes as well. If you search hard enough when planning your Jamaica wedding, you’ll also be sure to find some all-inclusive resorts that offer a free wedding ceremony. Some of these luxury resorts offer a free basic wedding to guests who stay for the minimum required time. It’s usually a minimum stay of three, five or seven days, but of course that depends on the resort you’re dealing with. It’s a great way to save some money so you can splurge on another bottle of champagne or an upgrade to your room.

Be sure and consider the time of year you are planning your Jamaica wedding. Getting married in the hottest months may not be ideal, unless you’re planning a seaside or indoor wedding and don’t mind the humidity and heat. Instead, you may want to have a wedding in the cooler months, giving you all the benefits of summer without the sweltering heat that it brings. Remember that it is possible to get married in the winter months in Jamaica without having to give away your snow boots and parkas for the ceremony, as they don’t really have ‘winter’.

There are two main seasons, dry and rainy. You don’t want to plan a beach wedding in the rainy season because the weather and sky can be unpredictable. If getting married on a certain date is important to you, consider the weather conditions and the average climate for that time of year. You should also watch out for hurricane season, which can also affect your travel plans. Some resorts offer a special ‘hurricane guarantee’, so be sure to ask about it.

No matter what your budget is, you should be able to find a venue that is perfect for your Jamaica wedding. Try contacting a local wedding planner if you decide not to use a resort. They can help point you in the right direction and help you get things organized before you get there. Using a planner gives you more flexibility and does not limit you to having your Jamaica wedding at the hotel you are staying at. Remember that Jamaica has amazing waterfalls and all kinds of green backdrops – the ocean is not the only beautiful place to have a jamaican wedding.
