Samsung Omnia II – An amazing Windows phone

Samsung has done it again! On this occasion, the Korean manufacturer comes with a model called Omnia II. This is a new model of Windows phone that comes with several features and advantages to offer the mobile users in this world. Therefore, the phone is worth considering.

The Samsung Omnia II comes with Windows Mobile 6.1 or Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system to serve the user. It goes without saying that with this operating system, the phone can offer features that can normally be found on a smartphone device. The new model that Samsung has made comes equipped with various equipment that global customers often look for as well.

For starters, the model comes with a digital camera that has a resolution quality of up to 5.0 megapixels, and of course, autofocus is an available option. The user will also be entertained by the face detection feature of the camera which will automatically capture the face. However, there are also various shooting modes available which are single, continuous, smile, mosaic, panorama and action shooting modes.

Still talking only about the camera, the user will also be able to adjust the color effects. The same goes for the resolution of the image to be taken. Also, the video recording capability is something that the user can look forward to. This new phone model from Samsung offers quite brilliant video recording capabilities. And, to keep things looking better, there is an anti-shake feature attached to the model.

When it comes to connectivity, this Windows phone model comes equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB connectivity capability. With its Wi-Fi, the model can allow the user to connect when a Wi-Fi network is available. Then, with its Bluetooth, the model can be used to connect to a wide variety of digital devices that can include laptops, other phones, headphones, and much more to mention. However, for the purpose of synchronizing the model with a computer, USB is very useful.

This model is a touch screen phone model. It has a wide screen that measures 3.7 inches diagonally and the screen can be touched with your hands or with the stylus that Samsung has provided with the model. However, despite the fact that it comes with a touchscreen input panel, the user will be able to use the model quite comfortably, even for sending and receiving text messages. This is possible thanks to the virtual keyboard provided with the model.

One main feature that Samsung Omnia II has come with is the accelerometer. With this accelerometer, the user can enjoy the auto rotate function. When the user turns their phone counterclockwise, the accelerometer will rotate the display on the screen automatically. This is a lot of fun when it comes to playing, especially.

The Omnia II is also capable of multitasking. That being said, the user will absolutely be able to listen to MP3 while working with Microsoft Office, sending/receiving messages, playing games, etc. at the same time. Microsoft Office is also a feature available with this particular model. However, apart from MP3, the user can also expect to watch MP4 videos with it. And to give the user an even better entertainment experience, this Windows Phone model comes with an excellent surround speaker that supports SRS HD or SRS WoW technology.

Still, in terms of entertainment, this Windows phone model comes with several games that support accelerometer and touch screen. There are dice, physical crayons, solitaire and the most entertaining one may be Asphalt 4 HD Elite Racing which may well capture the user’s attention completely. Of course, the user will not have to worry about model support for Java.

However, with the touch screen, Samsung has attached the Samsung TouchWiz user interface to this model. This is a technology that Samsung incorporates into most of its new touchscreen phone models. However, there can also be some drawbacks. There are times when the phone may lag. For example, when the battery is in a fairly low state, the model’s performance may degrade. However, the lag can also occur when the memory is almost exhausted. However, it is likely that if the user upgrades the memory capacity, he can overcome this problem. And the good news is that this Samsung Omnia II comes with an internal memory of 128 MB and a storage capacity of 8 GB. And better yet, a microSDHC of up to 32 GB will be no problem for the amazing Omnia II.
