List building pitfalls
Having a list builder is not a guarantee that your business revenue will skyrocket. There are many pitfalls to avoid in list building, and identified below are some of the common mistakes companies make in their list building processes.
1) Excessive dependence on technology
Many companies rely too much on the technology they provide online. What happens is that they repeat the search parameters or do not check the result and end up sending the same email to the same address over and over again. Although it may appear that the technology is used for business, it is not an efficient use of the system for commercial purposes.
2) Quantity over quality
The goal is to reach as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. This presents problems for the generator as the work can be repeated. Also, repetitive messages can be seen as spam which would lead to blocking of your email. So go for quality by choosing your points on who to send your product information to and create substantial new leads for your business.
3) No database management
This is often the problem with many companies that skimp on services. The phone number or messages generated must be placed in a database to avoid repetition. If this is not done, the generator does not create new leads, and instead stale leads are often repeated. Therefore, it is better for your company to have a system to review the work output of the machine to prevent repetitive tasks from being performed.
