Growing tourist destination – Victoria Falls

Victoria Falls, located between Zimbabwe and Zambia, are one of the most spectacular tourist destinations in the world. The Falls has been named one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and you can definitely see why. Known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya (the smoke that thunders), it is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

Another worthwhile landmark is Victoria Falls National Park, located in northwestern Zimbabwe. This park is remarkable because it has a tropical forest that grows in the spray of the falls. This rainforest is home to a variety of plant life, including ferns, palm trees, streaks of lianas, and many others not seen anywhere else in the region.

The surrounding towns of Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe side) and Livingstone (Zambia side) offer much of what you can expect from an internationally recognized destination: hotels, guesthouses, supermarkets, tourist centers and airports, making the Area is well equipped to handle the crowds of visitors it receives each year.
