Easy ID Badge Display – Lanyard Alternatives

Lanyards are a popular option for displaying ID cards. However, there are times when they can get caught on objects or interfere with mobility. Safety releases can make this less of an issue, but simply avoiding tangles in the first place is a good idea. Some people also feel uncomfortable wearing something around their neck. For others, opting for another method of presenting the ID is simply a matter of taste. Some activities, like sports, lend themselves naturally to other types of accessories. Here is a brief overview of several lanyard alternatives.

Plastic wristbands keep ID cards and keys within easy reach. The expandable variety fits comfortably on the wrist and can be stretched like a telephone cord. After each use, it returns to its original length, keeping it out of the way. These can be purchased in clear plastic for an unobtrusive look, or in a variety of colors to make the coil easy to locate.
