A study for parents in raising successful children!

Parents, I really don’t think there is a single best way to raise our children. However, since I also believe that all parents want to raise our children to the best of their ability, then it doesn’t hurt to take a quick look at a recent study of what some successful parents do.

The study came up with easy-to-pronounce names. Why do our children’s names matter? Hmm… I’m not sure about this, but I can tell you this; I have five successful children, and I happen to think all of their names are easy to pronounce. However, now that I think about it, people seem to get my eldest daughter’s name wrong sometimes.

The parenting study also says that sharing household responsibilities between mom and dad is extremely helpful in raising successful and happy children. When both parents, mom and dad, step in when they see something that needs to be done, whether it’s bringing in some extra cash, doing the dishes, tackling that never-ending laundry cycle, or even wiping a kid’s bottom, the family unit seems to work better. . And the children, in the end, benefit from this type of teamwork environment. However, I didn’t see my parents doing this kind of equally sharing the work at home.

The last piece of advice says that teaching our children math and value early on is a good thing that most successful parents do who raise successful and happy children. I spent many years practicing math and determination, but ended up as a history and special education teacher. I hope that mathematics and value will somehow help the well-being and success of my own children.

Now, as my grandfather always said, “Go learn, lead, and pave the way to a better world for all of us.” Remember to check the parenting studies from time to time, but don’t overdo it. Remember, you know what to do. And once again parents, thank you in advance for all you do and will do…
