A 2-minute anti-stress exercise
What is needed is a quick and easy exercise to use when it seems like too much or before an upcoming stressful situation to stay calm and in control. Here’s a quick and easy stress-reducing exercise that makes it easy to de-stress and refocus, no matter how busy you are. This can be done in less than 2 minutes. Who doesn’t have that little time? Used daily, it becomes even more effective. And the kids love it too.
ANTI-STRESS EXERCISE
Know that on the count of 3 you will relax and release your stress… Now…
- Take a deep breath through your nose
- As you slowly release it from your mouth,
- Close your eyes
- Press your thumb and forefinger together to form a circle (an OK sign)
- And slowly count 1……..2……..3……..
- feel your whole body JUST RELAX us 3
- In a deep state of relaxation: release stress, relax muscles, let yourself go like a rag doll.
- Now give yourself positive suggestions, or just relax
- When you want to come back
- Release your fingers and just open your eyes
Welcome back!
What we focus on becomes stronger, so it’s a good idea to watch your thoughts and redirect them to focus on what you want to bring into your life. Freeing yourself from stress every day is a small change that will generate big results. Be sure to use this exercise often. The more you use it, the more effective it becomes.
