The day Drew Brees and Chad Ochocinco had great games against each other

The New Orleans Saints and Cincinnati Bengals came to the league in the late 1960s. The two teams don’t interact much as they are in separate conferences, but they have had similar histories that include tough starts and long periods of no success. However, in 2006, these two teams would meet in a game where two of the biggest stars in the game put on big shows.

Chad Ochocinco
Chad Ochocinco would join his quarterback Carson Palmer to put on a show that day. He caught three touchdown passes, one from four yards, 41 yards and one from 72 yards, showing that he was a very dangerous player no matter where the Bengals had the ball on the field. In the end, he would end the day with six receptions for an impressive 190 yards.

Drew brees
Saints quarterback Drew Brees would also have an impressive game that day. He would attempt 52 passes, completing 37 of them, and finish with two touchdowns and 510 yards. Those 37 completions would also be caught by eight different receivers and distributing them that way always helps a team. One of them would include a 72-yard touchdown pass to Saints receiver Devery Henderson.

In the end, both players could be proud of their performances, but only one would be happy with the outcome of the game. Going into the fourth quarter, the Bengals led 10-7, but would outscore the Saints 21-9 in the final period to walk away with a 31-16 victory.
