Super automatic commercial coffee machines

There are so many models of commercial coffee machines on the market today that it is difficult to determine which one best suits the requirements of your business. This article looks at super automatic coffee machines.

A super automatic machine is typically bean to cup with fresh milk. The reason for its name is that the machine completes all the processes of a Barista, by full automation. The machine expertly grinds coffee beans, doses and tamps grounds, extracts espresso and froths milk, producing high-quality specialty beverages with the utmost ease.

There are two super auto machine variations available, a Cappuccino model and an Auto Steam model. Cappuccino models have separate milk cooling units. A pipe runs from the machine to the refrigerator, drawing cold milk into the machine for each drink, the machine steaming and frothing the milk and combining it with espresso to make the resulting cappuccino, latte, macchiato or the like. Drinks are prepared at the simple touch of a button.

Auto Steam models feature an automatic steam wand with a temperature sensor. With these models, the automatic wand is dipped into a jug of cold fresh milk and a button is pressed to produce perfectly micro-foamed milk. The automatic wand produces expertly frothed milk by introducing the correct amount of air into the milk during steaming and heating to a pre-programmed temperature, ensuring consistent results every time. The wand also has different settings for lattes and cappuccinos, producing hot steamed milk with little foam for lattes and creamy foamed milk for cappuccinos. An Auto Steam model produces espresso at the touch of a button; all that is left for the operator to do is mix with the milk.

As with all fresh milk machines, cleaning is incredibly important and should be completed at the end of service each day. All parts of the machine that come into contact with milk must be fully sterilized to eliminate bacteria and keep the machine in the best possible condition. Normally, the daily cleaning process takes between 15 and 30 minutes, however, most commercial coffee machines have automatic cleaning cycles, to make the cleaning process as simple as possible for the operator.

Super-automatic machines are great for busy environments that want to offer high-quality, freshly brewed coffee, without going down the path of a traditional espresso machine and resident barista. The simple user interface means that any member of staff can operate, regardless of their skill level. Since the beverage preparation process is fully automated, it also frees up staff to take care of other tasks, such as preparing food, serving other customers and handling cash.
