Sit-up and sit-up exercises for your dog

So now you can walk your dog without misbehaving? The next thing you should work on is teaching him to sit and stay.

Teaching your dog to stay still is a valuable skill that can help make your home nice and quiet. The last thing you want is for the neighbors to complain about the noise your dog is making.

As you have observed in dog training, passing a treat over your dog’s head makes him sit up as you chase him. Give him the treat and you have already started teaching him to sit. A good idea is to associate this behavior with the command to “sit” so that you continue to comply without the treat.

An alternative would be to push your doe down until it is seated. Whichever method you choose, remember to keep teaching your dog until he has mastered it.

The “stay down” is by all means an extension of the “sit down” command. When he has learned to sit, the next step is to encourage him to stay still.

While your dog is sitting, hold him still and offer him another treat while saying “down.” At the same time, push it down gently so that it knows what you want it to do.

At a more advanced stage, you can also use hand signals to teach your dog to sit up and stay still.

All other obedience training exercises are based on these principles. As with any other hack, this takes time and patience to pull off.
