New Razer Blade Pro

The Razer Blade Pro

The Razer Blade Pro is a series of gaming laptops from Razer. Unlike the standard 14-inch Razer Blade, this new gaming laptop offers a 17.3-inch screen with improved graphics and screen resolution. It still retains some of the features that were present in last year’s model, such as the Intel Core i7 4700HQ processor.

Razer Blade Pro: features

It has an Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M display that offers an improved graphics display compared to last year’s model. Nvidia also offers some additional features in its 800M series, including Battery Boost and ShadowPlay.

ShadowPlay enables automatic image capture during gameplay without affecting game performance. This feature is especially useful for gamers who are obsessed with sharing screenshots of their favorite game actions. Battery Boost enables consistent gaming performance at 30 frames per second, although it can be adjusted to suit player preferences.

This gaming laptop is powered by an Intel Core I7 processor and 16GB of DDR3 / 1600 memory, which has doubled compared to last year. It comes with various storage options, including 128GB, 256GB, or 512GB SSDs. There are also 3 USB 3.0 ports on the left of this PC. Other ports include a headphone / microphone combo port, an HDMI port, and an Ethernet port. Wireless options include Bluetooth 4.0 and an 802.11 ac Wi-Fi adapter.

Performance

In terms of performance, many competitors offer more superior performance than the Blade Pro, although it manages to exceed the 60 frames per second requirement that most gamers want. However, playing a game that is too heavy can affect performance.

Battery duration

The new Razer Blade Pro offers a decent battery life, exceeding 3 hours during gaming. While many other gaming laptops offer similar results, they are thicker and heavier than the Blade Pro, which boasts of being the lightest and thinnest gaming laptop in the world. For this key reason, this version sets itself apart as the most viable gaming laptop for gamers with frequent travel needs.

Keyboard

It has a backlit keyboard that offers standard functions. It comes with modified scissor switches that have been designed by Razer themselves. It also houses the N key replacement that allows you to hold down multiple keys without affecting PC performance.

Switchblade

SwitchBlade is a low-resolution touchscreen that sits to the right of the keyboard. It’s a feature that is missing from the standard Razer Blade and allows gamers to chat, watch videos, and browse social media sites on the mini-screen while playing their favorite games on the main screen.

Razer has certainly set a new standard in mobile gaming and while not every aspect of the laptop is cutting edge, it is still a force to be reckoned with.
