Mazda’s fun and dynamic Kabura concept

Mazda Australia will showcase its much-admired Kabura concept car in Sydney. The magnificent range includes the new CX-7 crossover, the BT-50 truck range and the Mazda6. These vehicles will wow the crowd at this year’s Australian International Auto Show.

“This year’s Australian International Auto Show will be very important for Mazda Australia,” says Doug Dickson, CEO of Mazda Australia. “Not only will we be able to showcase two new cars, but we are very proud to have the Kabura concept car in the country. Kabura is pointing in the direction of Mazda’s future design and we are very excited about the result.”

The Kabura concept features a compact sports car that uses a 2.0-liter MZR engine to combine fun and functionality with driving pleasure. It is specially designed for drivers who appreciate dynamic and sporty driving without sacrificing comfort and functionality. The Kabura concept car is not a traditional car, that’s the built-in edge.

Introduced at the 2006 North American International Auto Show, Kabura showcases surprising themes and technologies. It is equipped with a 3 + 1 seating arrangement to provide greater passenger comfort without increasing size or weight. Kabura uses powerful Mazda mechanical parts and accessories to increase its overall appeal. It incorporates some of the notable parts of the Mazda MX-3. In addition, the prototype also uses a rear-wheel drive design identical to that of the Miata.

Mazda CX-7 is the latest SUV addition from the automaker. It is said to embrace Mazda’s “soul of a sports car” philosophy, which means excellent driving dynamics coupled with practical function. It is also equipped with Mazda’s Active Torque Split All Wheel Drive system. The latter includes Mazda dynamic fuel injection parts, which are incorporated into the Mazda6 MPS.
