Is it worth buying the Samsung Intensity SCH-U450?

The Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 is one of the entry-level cell phones you have the option of when you subscribe to Verizon Wireless. For an entry-level phone, it’s a good choice and has a lot of great features. However, this phone also has some drawbacks that are common among all pieces of technology.

The Samsung Intensity has a keyboard that’s great for anyone who texts. The phone features a QWERTY keyboard that slides out. Also, the screen is aesthetically pleasing and the phone also features a camera that takes megapixel photos. If you need GPS or a music player with your phone, this phone has all of that too.

However, there are still many flaws with this phone. Although the phone has a music player, it cannot download songs over the air. The front keys also feel cramped, so it’s very easy to hit the wrong button. The phone also only takes photos and not videos, which doesn’t seem right since older phones had the ability to take video recordings. Lastly, the phone’s microSD slot sits behind the battery cover, making it difficult to insert and remove any microSD cards you might have.

The battery life of the phone is average. The phone has approximately 300 minutes of talk time and 300 hours of standby time, which is typical for most phones. This amount of time ensures that you don’t have to worry about your phone turning off after just a couple of days.

Overall, the Samsung Intensity SCH-U450 is a good phone for those who just need a simple phone. If this is your first phone then you can’t go wrong getting it. However, if you are looking for a full-featured cell phone, you may want to pass it on.
