How to create your own custom Lego minifigure

There are many brands of interlocking bricks. Lego is one of the biggest brands and has become the household name of “Bricks”. Instead of saying, “My son loves interlocking bricks,” they would say, “My son loves Legos,” even if the brand is unbranded or not. When people customize miniature figures, they may say “Lego Minifigures” or “Lego Minifig’s,” but that’s because Lego is the widely recognized name for interlocking brick miniature figures. This article will teach you how to customize your own Lego minifigures. There are 3 phases to customize Minifigures, these are to choose a character, use their traits that make them unique and then customize them.

First, choosing a character may seem easy. You have to choose a character that has unique traits (step 2 will be much easier) and they should be widely known so that anyone can recognize the character as a minifigure. Some examples of custom characters are; Donald Trump, Michael Myers (Halloween), Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th), Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (TMNT), Carrie (Carrie movie), The Punisher (The Punisher movie) and many more. more! If you took a look at any of these custom Lego minifigures, you would instantly know who they were. For example, Michael Myers has a completely white face, a brown / orange hair piece, a knife, and a blue suit. The minifigure looks identical to the legend from the horror movie!

Second, using their unique traits can be tricky. What makes a villain or a hero a hero? What traits or symbols can make someone recognize who they are? Captain America would need to have the blue and white suit, the famous star shield, and some kind of blue helmet. Those are its features. Someone like Freddy Krueger would have to have a red / green striped shirt, brown / black hair / head, burned face, and knives instead of hands. Those are traits that shouldn’t be ignored – finding good traits is about choosing the right character to customize.

Third, customizing the minifigure will require skill. Some items that you will need to customize are apple barrel glitter paint, cheap paintbrush, toothpicks, X Acto knife, Testors paint, Lego rod pole to customize small pieces, baked clay, hot glue, and a simple minifigure. Once you’ve established your idea and have all the supplies you need, you can start by painting a simple Minifigure with Apple Barrel Glossy paint so that the Minifigure is a single color. Once this is done, you can use the brush (for larger strokes) or toothpicks to apply the Testors paint to the Minifigures face / body. This step will be taken by an artist. Paints well! After completing this, use the Lego plate and 1×1 Lego rounds to create a bar / pole that can place a smaller item such as a weapon or hair piece. Then use the brush / toothpick to paint the smaller pieces. You can use the baked clay to mold new weapons / body parts. You will want to bake at the suggested degrees and time so that the clay hardens and does not damage the miniature figure. Once you have completed all the steps, let it dry for 24 hours and you will have a masterpiece.
