Chipmunk home remedies you can try in your home

Squirrels, better known as chipmunks, are sweet creatures, but they can also be deceptive. They cause an enormous amount of digging and eating throughout the garden and are very destructive to the lawn and garden. Chipmunks live on the ground, but to feed and protect themselves when they need it, they climb trees and bushes. They are very alert to danger and are very fast in movements. They must be removed so that the gardens are not damaged. They can be scared away with certain repellants. But that is not the last solution.

Previous moth balls were used and were shown to be quite effective. But now it is useless. Research remedies that will keep these squirrels away include Nutmeg and Cinnamon, Peppermint Oil, Capacina, Jalapeno Peppers, Serrano Pepper, Cayenne Pepper, Chili Powder, Tabasco Sauce, WD-40, Aspirin, and Peanut Butter and also strands of dog hair. Among these few like chili powder, pepper can be placed around plants and these chipmunks cannot stand these strong spices.

There are commercial repellants on the market that may have a greater impact but will cost more than the homemade solution. Also, fox urine found on the market when used by rubbing it on a cotton ball keeps squirrels away as they smell like foxes.

These little furry creatures sometimes make a kind of burrow to get into houses. Therefore, having a cat at home can also solve this problem. The simplest method is to mount a cage with peanut butter. Peanuts are a favorite among squirrels, so this form of trap works. Another effective way is to use water on the sunflower seeds so that the water is not visible. And then put a strip of wood against the side to act as a ramp and put some seeds on the ramp. Squirrels are attracted to the pale area of seed-filled water and without hesitation jump. As a result, they die in the water. This is an easy way to eradicate them and most of them can be removed effortlessly.

All of these methods are tested at home and one of the mentioned ones will certainly help to ensure eradication of the problem. These squirrels cause a lot of damage to plantations as they damage plants from the roots and also tunnel into the ground. They are small, fast, and destructive.
